Marsascala

Holidays in Marsascala – An elegant resort in the south of Malta
Marsascala has no sandy beach, with the resort developing around a narrow sea-inlet, and the U-shaped coastline offering plenty of places along the rocks to swim or sunbathe. The next bay just 1km along the coastline, St. Thomas, is home to a sandy beach, with shallow waters perfect for swimming. Marsascala is a popular resort with scuba-divers, with a good dive school in the resort, and other water-sports available include water-skiing and wind-surfing. The harbour in Marsascala is generally home to many multi-coloured fishing boats, which adds to the beauty of this already attractive resort, and there is a seafront promenade, lined with a great choice of waterfront cafes and bars, which leads into St. Thomas Bay.

Holidays in Marsascala - Enjoy the laid-back atmosphere and surrounding countryside
The atmosphere in Marsascala is fairly peaceful and laid-back, and the area is well-known for its’ great choice of excellent fish restaurants, mainly down on the seafront promenade. The main village is well-equipped with all the essential shops for tourists, and Marsascala does offer some bars and discos, with most of the entertainment being hotel-based. The surrounding hills and countryside are perfect for scenic walks and hikes, and there are some interesting old chapels and towers in the area to visit. Within a 30 minute drive, visitors to Marsascala can enjoy tennis, golf, cycling and paragliding.
